Congratulations to DEVON ZACKMIRE, an FHS senior in the Marketing program, received a Top 10 placing in the Automotive Services Marketing event at the Ohio DECA Career Development Conference held at the Columbus Convention Center on March 19-20.
Devon competed against approximately 50 other students from around the state in his event. The first part of the competition required students to take a 100 question multiple-choice test about marketing concepts. They were allowed one hour to complete the test. Students then had 10 minutes to prepare a presentation based on two different Automotive Services Marketing case studies. Devon's first case study involved developing an inventory control plan for a gas station convenience store to limit loss from expired products (milk, bakery goods, etc.). His second case study placed him as the manager of a Hummer dealership. He was tasked with developing a plan to liquidate Hummer inventory that the public wasn't purchasing. |
